Please go around!!

Forget the line "Pick another checkout lane honey!" How about "Please go around..."? I hate when I am in a grocery store trying to price, get a deal, or find just the right product, that people hover around you. Say excuse me, go around or just come back later.

Okay enough of my rant, on to the savings. I went to my friendly Commissary yesterday. This is what I found.

Re-fried Beans $0.75ea(2) + $1/2 coupon(q) = $0.25 per can x2 for a total of $0.50
I was under the impression that these cans were $0.59 cents, but I was rushed and I forgot to check prices while loading, could have gotten them for $0.09

Magic Erasers $1.61ea + $1.50/1q = $0.11ea I got 2 boxes of 2 erasers, so really it was less than $0.06 an eraser!

Zatarain's Cajun meals $1.39ea + $0.75/2q = $1.02ea box x2 for a total of $2.04

Newman's Own Dressings $2.00ea + $0.75/1q +$0.50/1q = $0.38ea
I got two! I was so proud of noticing that I had 2 coupons that worked for this product... it may not be the cheapest item but it is the one I am most proud of finding!

Tide Stain Remover $5.17ea + $3.00/1q = $2.17

These are only the list of pretty cool deals I got. I should have done better about paying attention, for example I thought that I was getting a deal on both items, when I really was having to buy two items and only getting the deal on one item.... I wasn't doing the math correctly and it was hard to think after having whiny kids all day. Also I forgot a coupon or he didn't scan it :( and I forgot to peel one off of a package, I can still use it next time though.

So for the numbers...
Total retail value of $16.67
Total Coupon Savings $10.25
Total spent on these products $6.42
A savings of 61%!

This was just the good deals that I decided to post, my overall savings with all my coupon-able items was 41%. I have a lot to learn still.
